QnA:
1. I already have one club, what should I do?
No worries, philately club has always been a second club for CHS students. Many of our members have multiple clubs and they join because they are interested in philately. Our club meeting time is not at the normal meeting time (Ours is 8:30-10:00pm on Saturdays), which looks long but it isn't that boring because the meetings has been meticulously planned (you will also be asked to present meetings, but you will be guided and you have the rest of the year to plan your meeting so what to worry?)

2. How are the meetings like?
Since our club's meeting time is abnormal, we will usually clear off all the meetings at the first half of the year, so that all the meetings for the particular year will be hosted by the governing batch of committee members because they have time to plan. (We will also not host any meetings before an exam so that the club members have more time to do revision) In one meeting, there is usually:
- A club note
- A PowerPoint
- A quiz
- Some fun assignments for F1-4 club members (subject to change) such as One Page Folio and Stamp Art
Philately Club also implements the Club Reward System, which rewards overachieving club members with Philatelic Prizes at the end of the year (Rare stamps, First Day Covers etc). The marks are being calculated based on multiple factors such as the assignments, club quizzes and a Philatelic Assessment held at the middle of the year (after the meetings are being cleared)
+ You can check for the past club notes using the link in Q5

3. How can I achieve higher CCA marks in this club?
Our club committees are extremely dedicated to provide the best for the members, including CCA marks. In Philately Club, there is a semi-compulsory (meaning: we will want you to subscribe it, but if you can prove that you got other ways to get high CCA marks, you can choose to not do this) subscription called the Standing Order Account (SODA). Under SODA Account, you will need to pay RM 10 to get the chance to participate in national-level competitions such as Infographic and Philatelic Folio Competition. The extra benefit is that our philately club is one of the only KESEF (Kelab Setem dan Filateli) clubs across Malaysia that has taught sufficient information for its members to join these competitions. (There is no set syllabus for philately, so our syllabus is a self-created syllabus) This increases your chance to win in these competitions, which unlocks another level of marks (pencapaian marks).
